December 2020 Update
December is going to be a big month for the Empire Deluxe. This will be the first year where we host our annual tournament on EDCE instead of the 1993 edition. I am putting a lot of additional effort into getting things ready since it will also be our first all remote tournament as well.
I know that most of the gaming world has already moved into remote multiplayer games. However, for this group it will be a big change. We have been playing this game in person for 27 years! These games already take days to complete and now we have to do it remotely with conflicting priorities constantly getting in the way. Unless this year’s tournament goes extremely well, I am looking forward to a return to the old system in 2021.
That said, I have some other updates to post this month if time permits. The Future Units Database is in active testing right now and the results are promising. I am particularly enjoying regicide with this set. I also have changes to make to MUD following EDCE v18 release, and a new graphic set request that I am starting to storyboard.
There are a couple of other topics I want to cover this month as well. I don’t know how much time I will have, but expect a post on at least one of the following topics this month:
- Twilight Imperium
- Pathfinder
- Civilization
- Video Editing
If you do some general searches on those optics, you can probably figure out by yourself what I plan to post. But if not, stay tuned and I will be posting some updates in the near future.
Lastly, I am putting some serious thought into another site revamp. I am beginning to dislike the overall layout and design and want to look for some other options that will make it easier to navigate and manage.
